"Acrylics are so versatile and forgiving, the medium makes it easy for any artist to satisfy an active imagination and eager hand. My work is expressive rather than realistic... we all have great cameras to record what we see; I hope to impart some of what we feel.
I am fortunate to be immersed in nature, at our home in the forest, for five months a year. Mother Nature provides ample inspiration as I paint 'en plein air'. Some fresh air, glorious sunsets, wild flowers, trees and a river are all I need to feed my spirit and guide my hand as I approach my waiting canvas.

Collage Collection
"I love painting with paper - a collage technique. The first step for creating this type of collage piece is collecting a mix of found materials. I'll use anything: menus, old books, letters, tree bark, fortune cookie messages, sheet music, food labels, junk mail - I'm recycling! I also use paper that I hand color, print, texture, pattern or stamp. Then, I carefully tear these elements into 100's of small bits and pieces, as I layer, overlap, and assemble them to create the final composition. I hope you enjoy the end result. These pieces are available for purchase from $485 to $625."
Leni was the featured artist at the Floyd Artists Association during the month of October in 2015. In 2019 and 2021, Leni had a solo art exhibit at the J. Peter Scolforo Gallery
in Lee, MA, which led to an interview on CreativeLee TV.
